another astoundingly beautiful day with temperatures in the upper 70's.
I spent the afternoon raking leaves and
bike riding with my two lovely daughters.
"it is my nature that makes me love you often,
for I am love itself.
it is my longing that makes me love you intensely,
for I yearn to be loved from the heart.
it is my eternity that makes me love you long,
for I have no end."

"to everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
a time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal;
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace."

this artist was painting autumn's colours on the side of the road.
I stopped to ask if I could take her picture for my daily photo.
it turns out that she paints a painting a day! http://www.weinsteinart.com

"let's go and see everybody," said pooh...
piglet thought that they ought to have a reason for going to see everybody, like looking for small, or organizing an expotition (sic), if pooh could think of something.
pooh could.
"we'll go because it's thursday", he said, "and we'll go to wish everybody a very happy thursday. come on, piglet."

"thou angel who keepest watch
over the destiny of -----
through waking and sleeping,
and the long ages of time:
may my thoughts, filled with hope,
reach her through thee.
may she be strengthened from the founts of will
which bear us towards freedom.
may she be illumined from the founts of wisdom
which warm the inmost heart.
may she feel peace from the founts of love
which bless men's work."

"people often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. this empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves."

I see this fellow almost every day, picking up trash on the sidewalk. finally got a photo of him. he's a university professor who used to run and now makes his walks more interesting by picking up trash.
